was born January 2, 1933 in Shorterville, Alabama to the late Charlie F. and Vara Williams Small. God called her home on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Stratford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Stratford, New Jersey at 11:05 pm. Her sleep is now a peaceful one.
Nerra attended the Public Schools in Henry County, Alabama. At an early age she joined Old Friendship A.M.E. Church, Shorterville, Alabama. She was united in marriage to the late Robert Earl Culver and from this union was born five children.
Nerra was a homemaker, devoted mother and loved to care for her granchildren. She collected tin cans and anything with Coca Cola logo. She really enjoyed watching soap operas and cooking shows. She loved reading any newspaper she could get her hands on. She never took a trip but you wouldn't know it by all the post cards she received from those who did travel.
Nerra was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Culver; her son, James Culver, Sr; four sisters and two brothers.
Nerra leaves precious memories with her three daughters, Annie Earl Culver, Ida Ruth Culver and Cynthia Culver; one son, Johnny Culver; five grandchildren, Theodore (Lourdes) Culver, James (Tamika) Culver, Jr., Lance Culver, Clifton Robert (Nichelle) Moragne and James Henry (Deidra) Haliburrton; six great-grandchildren, Jalen Mickles, Siani Moragne, Reese Culver, Damien Moragne, Janiya Moragne and Jamen Haliburton; one sister, Annie M. Culver of Bethlehem, PA and a loving host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
