Ekhia LaTara Miller was born December 13, 1982, in Birmingham, Alabama to Evard Walker, Jr. and Latonia M. Miller.  She departed this life on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at home in Galloway, New Jersey.

Ekhia grew up in Atlantic City with her grandparents, Samuel Jones, Sr., who was affectionately known as "Grand Sam" and preceded her in death, and Gwendolyn D. Jones.  Ekhia attended St. James Elementary School, where she graduated in June 1997.  She was a graduate of Absegami High School in June 2001.  She later attended Atlantic Cape Community College.

Ekhia was baptized at an early age at Second Baptist Church.  She was a member of the Rosebuds Choir, the Youth Young Adult Choir, where she not only sang but directed, and the End-Time Levites.

Ekhia loved music and was extremely gifted with doing hair.  She danced at Uptown Complex Dance School under the direction of Ms. Carol Barnes.

Ekhia was a loving mother of three beautiful daughters:  Malaysia Graham, A'Chay Graham and Sabriyah Brown.

Ekhia leaves to cherish fond memories:  her parents, Evard Walker, Jr., of Atlantic City, and Latonia M. Miller of Birmingham, Alabama; three children, Malaysia Emani Graham and A'Chay Briyon Graham, both of Buena, New Jersey, and Sabriyah Fatimah Brown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one sister, Neva Dwomoh (Peter) of Birmingham; two brothers, Antwain Miller (Talesha) of Hiram, Georgia and Evard Walker Moss of Mays Landing, New Jersey; one grandmother, Gwendolyn D. Jones ("Mommy") of Galloway; one grandfather, Clarence Miller (Lillian) of Birmingham; one special aunt, Tracey Roberts-Walker ("Tray-Tray") of Galloway; four uncles, Eric Porter (Amanda), Byron Miller, and Nicholas Miller, all of Birmingham, and Stanley Walker of Harlem, New York; Godparents, Thomas and Cynthia Jennings of Galloway; one special cousin, Shavak T. Walker; a niece and nephew, Ava-Grace and Emmanuel Dwomoh of Birmingham; five sister friends, Chaia Jennings, Mandy Chapman, Tawane Corbin, Tisha Cooper and LaTashia Knox; and a host of cousins and friends.
