Obituary of Daisy B. Robinson

Daisy B. Robinson was born on November 18, 1942 in Marion, South Carolina to Sampson and Rachel Davis. She was raised in Philadelphia, PA where she attended William Penn High School. Daisy married Elgie Robinson in 1960 and from this union of marriage, four children were born: Elgin A. Robinson, Sherry Robinson, Linda D. Robinson and Michael Robinson.

In 1970, Daisy and her family relocated from Pennsylvania to West Atco, NJ where she has resided until her passing. In 1980, Daisy was employed by Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, NJ for 25 years retiring in 2010.

Daisy enjoyed her life. She enjoyed shopping at Macy’s; gardening and cultural festivities. Daisy was the life of the party, especially at the Robinson cookouts. Her favorite singer/entertainer was Tina Turner and Daisy knew how to shake a tail feather.  She stood firm on what she believed. She also meant what she said and said what she meant.

Daisy brought laughter to all those who knew her. She would light up a room with her beautiful smile. She was like a breath of fresh air when things were cloudy in your life. Daisy was full of wisdom and she wore it well. She didn’t want to leave us but she knew she had to go home. She is sorry she had to leave us here, but Daisy is dancing with the love of her life, her husband Elgie. Now they can roll it on the river, forever.

Daisy leaves to mourn and cherish her memories, her four children, Elgin A. Robinson, Sherry Robinson, Linda D. Kelly-Paz and Michael Robinson; 22 grandchildren; 50 + great-grandchildren; four sisters, Classel Davis, Rachel Hall, Maggie Davis and Sandra Davis. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
