Obituary of Brenda Joyce Clark

Brenda Joyce Clark was born May 17, 1954 to the late Thomas J. and Annie Belle Clark in Raeford, North Carolina. She spent her early childhood years in Raeford. In the mid 1960’s, Annie Bell decided that she wanted a better life, not only for herself, but also for her two children, Artis and Brenda and she moved to Philadelphia, PA. Both Brenda and Artis were educated in the Philadelphia school system and also received their religious experience at Second Baptist Church of Franklinville. Throughout the years, Brenda’s employment was in customer service. She worked in retail and also was employed as a tax preparer and a postal worker until her health began to fail. Brenda enjoyed interacting with people. She served as a block captain in her neighborhood for many years and was persistent about pursuing issues at hand. She will definitely be remembered for her outspoken and opinionated mannerism. No filter, no fluffing. The way she said it is definitely the way she meant it! After a lengthy battle with cancer, Brenda peacefully entered into eternal rest on March 10, 2016. Both of her parents and her only sibling preceded her in death. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her uncles, Johnnie (Mary) of Hillcrest Heights, MD and Willie of Sicklerville, NJ. She also leaves her aunts, Vida of Laurel, MD and Jean of Bridgeport, Conn. Brenda has a host of loving cousins and friends that mourn her; as well as 2 devoted, special friends, Marie and Shirley.
