Bilbrew, Mary H. was born on September 5, 1932 in Charleston, Mississippi. On Wednesday, October 21, 2009, Jesus quietly took her home. Mary was educated in the public schools in Jackson, Mississippi. After her formal schooling, she worked as a caretaker for Ms. Robin Sue Landsbury in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. It was in Jackson, Mississippi where Mary met the man who became the love of her life, Jesse Bilbrew. They met before Jesse's military career began and were united in marriage on July 24, 1964 in Burlington, New Jersey. They resided in Burlington for many years. There were no children from this union. mary enjoyed traveling with her husband during his military career to Hawaii, Germany and many other places. On September 26, 1984, Mary joined Macedonia Baptist Church, Beverly, New Jersey under the pastorate of Reverend George W. Shaffer. She attended faithfully and was a dedicated member of the Senior Usher Board until her health failed. Mary leaves to cherish many fond memories: her faithful and devoted husband, Jesse Bilbrew; two sisters, Almeda Eskridge (Bobby) and Georgia Burgess, both of Memphis, Tennessee; two aunts, Frances Smith of Charleston, Mississippi and Ollie Bell of Chicago, Illinois; four sisters-in-law, Clara Mayberry and Bettie Bilbrew, both of Jackson, Mississippi, Laretha McKenzie of Canton, Mississippi and a special sister-in-law, Lee Hubbard of Edgewater Park, New Jersey; a brother-in-law, Leon Bilbrew of Jackson, Mississippi; a devoted caregiver Mildred Ringgold and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
