Uncle Marvin was like my baby brother being a few years my junior. We played together, fought together, played baseball together and as we got older we partied together. I came to Atlanta and visited with him and Glenda. I was proud of him for the work he was doing around the Atlanta metro area. Owners of businesses knew him for the solid work that he provided. Marvin and Cousin Grandville partnered together and business took off. Over the years he came back to New Jersey and I had taken a job in Atlanta. I would see him with Romona and still have fun being together. I was heartbroken to hear about his death because I had known him as a youngster, a teenager, and as an adult. I will miss him like others who knew him in their way will miss him to all his siblings, family members, and friends. If you want to know what to do in this hour of remorse - You better get to know Jesus because in time we will all have to go from this earth. PEACE!

Marvin (we called him Wayne) met my sister Glenda (Sarina’s mother) when I was 9 or 10 yrs old. Now over 30 years later he was still apart of our family and will forever be our brother in law. We’ll miss you!! ❤️❤️

Uncle Marvin was more like a brother to me. I remember in our younger years Marvin and my brother Brandon would get into trouble together, and my mother (Dolores) would be so upset that she would get the broom or throw a plate at them.
I just wished him a Happy Birthday on September 20th, and the next week, he taken out of this world.

Uncle Marvin was a loving and giving person who was always willing to go out of his way to help someone if he could. He was a few years younger than my brother Brandon and I and actually lived in Trenton during some of his elementary and middle school years.
I have some fond memories of those years in which we kind of grew up together, playing baseball, getting in fights, and other mischief. He was left-handed so we tried to make a pitcher out of him, he was pretty decent lefty for our team. He had an appetite and loved sweets; one time he ate more pieces of mom’s pie than he should. Then mom made him eat a whole pie by himself till he got sick, she told him “His eyes were bigger than his stomach”. Anytime we made fun of him or teased him in any way, (there was always something to tease him about), Marvin would always remind us that he might be younger than us but that he was still our uncle and he deserved respect.
As we got older, there was always drama with Uncle Marvin in Atlanta or in NJ but we loved him just the same and we all knew that he loved us, unconditionally. We will all miss Marvin, but he is at rest and pray for God’s arms of comfort and peace will surround the family that he’s left behind. That the memories of our dear Uncle Marvin will be forever treasured in our thoughts, bring warmth to our hearts and smiles to our faces.

Sleep in Peace Dad:
Marvin Wayne Worthington (dad) has been in my life from the time I was three years old. He never called me his stepdaughter. He always embraced me as his daughter and that's how he would introduce me to others. Because of him I grew up with a father and that meant more to me than anyone would ever know. I've experienced so many great things in my childhood because of him, I will forever be grateful for his love and support.
Some of my fondest childhood memories that I have of my dad was installing carpet. I loved to go with him on his jobs to help him install carpet. He taught me how to demo, use tools and install the new carpeting. He taught me everything he knew and every time we get together, he would proudly reminisce on those moments. Every holiday was always fun because he made it fun. On Halloween, he would take us to the nicest neighborhoods to trick or treat. For the Easter holidays, he would take us to the places that hosted awesome easter eggs hunts. On the fourth of July, we would have cookouts and neighborhood fish fries, which will always stand out as great memories from my childhood. Everyone would come to our house for his fried fish and chicken. Wayne was such a people person and never met a stranger. He taught me how to ride my first bicycle. He helped me get my first real job and even was there when I had boy troubles. We enjoyed traveling to fun vacation spots across the country. Dad made my childhood wonderful.
One of my greatest memories I had with my dad was on my wedding day. After he received the wedding invitation, he called me very excited and told me that he would be here to walk me down the aisle. He also stated, “I even have my tuxedo already”. I was not expecting him to make the trip down and didn’t see him during the preparation for the wedding. In my mind, I was prepared to walk myself down the aisle alone but when the doors of the church opened, there he was with a great big grin on his face. He was equally proud to be there to escort me as I was to have him there to give me away. A moment I will never forget.
Dad, though your body is gone from this earth, your soul will never be forgotten. My heart is so broken, but I will always have my memories of you. I truly hope and pray that you knew how much I love you. You will forever be missed. I love you, Dad.
Rest in peace,
Love NaQuinta.
