Benson, Samuel E. III On Tuesday, September 29, 2009, of Camden, NJ. Age 66. Born on July 23, 1943, in Mount Holly, NJ, Samuel was the eldest son born to the late Samuel Jr. and Vivian Benson. Upon completion of Palmyra High School, Sam joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, where he met and married Audrey Cotton. Of this union, three children were born. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Pennsauken, NJ for many years. Later, he started Sharp Construction Company. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Audrey Benson; eight children, Brian Benson (Patrice), Tanya Johnson (Wallaace), Sean Benson (Treva), Shandell Allgood (Shaun), Ryan Smith, Nyekicee "Nikki" Smith, Samie Banseon and Samia Benson; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; eight sisters, Elva Sheppard, Renee Jefferson, Hope Sadler, Enise Richardson (Hilton), Marsha Grant (Dan), Jacqueline Gipson, Beverly Pinkney (Gene), Robin Erickson; one brother, Theodore Benson; one brother-in-law, Lawrence Cotton (Doretha); three sisters-in-law, Eunice Nailing, Delores Carter (Melvin) and Joyce Laury and a host of other family members and friends. Services will be held 11AM Friday, October 9, 2009, in Macedonia Baptist Church, 2nd and Magnolia Streets, Beverly, NJ, where friends may call from 9AM. Burial in Camden County Veterans Memorial Cemetery @ Harleigh, Camden, NJ.
