In loving memory of our mother,
Virginia Harris, who passed away on January 26,2023. Virginia was born on August 22, 1934 to parents Elwood Denning Lloyd, and Lena Anger in Philadelphia, PA. She was educated through the public school system. She was employed through Textile Workers Union of America as a Presser, a First Student as a Bus Aide, and retired from Prince Foods as a Cook. As her children was growing up, she often took them to St. Philips Baptist Church located at 1228 N. 6th St, Philadelphia, PA 19122. In 2012 she accepted Jesus Christ as salvation at City Church of Philadelphia located at 2311 S. 13th St, Philadelphia, PA 19148.
She had eight siblings Gladys Adeline Lloyd, Jackqueline Ellinger, Elwood Denning Lloyd Jr., Patrica Lloyd, William Lloyd, Joanie Jessie, Marlene Noble Williams, and Susan Noble English. She was the devoted and loving mother of Dr. Dorothy Noble Hurley, Darlene Noble Harris, Virginia Harris Jr. William Harris, Robert Harris, Linda Harris Wilson, and her granddaughter she raised as her own Nadira Harris.
She had tons of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Our mother was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Growing up, Mom was always there for us, whether we needed help or just a shoulder to cry on. She was a woman that instilled in us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. Our mother was a true role model who we will always look up to.
Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much.
