Obituary of Daniel Miles

Daniel affectionately called by his family "Peanut" and by others "Danny" was born on November 14, 1956. Danny was the third child of Alice Miles. His oldest brother Alfred vividly recalls the day he was born. Danny was raised in a loving family environment by his mother, stepfather Herman Wells and with his seven siblings. He was a beloved child who stayed under the watchful eye of his mother and grandmother. Danny was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania however at a young age the family moved to Williamstown, New Jersey. He lived most of his adult life in Sicklerville, New Jersey. In his retirement years Danny took residence in Atlanta, Georgia, Charlotte, North Carolina and Casselberry, Florida. Danny attended the Monroe Township Public School System. He was a proud graduate of Williamstown High School. After graduation he found employment at America Minerals where he worked for twenty-six years. He made many of his lifelong friends at the plant. Danny married Ida (Cookie) Martin on August 28, 1992; they have traveled through life together for nearly thirty years. They were first friends who fell in love. Danny would tell anyone who listened “I love my wife.” His sisters said every time they talked with Danny, he professed his love for his Cookie. Danny lived life to the fullest, he was grateful for every day. He was an avid Eagles fan he often watched the game with his crew Greg, Shep and more recently with his nephew Anthony. Danny was known for his kind heart and giving spirit. Although Danny did not have any children of his own, he loved his nieces and nephews. He had a special relationship with his niece Tamiya he called her “little Mama.” Danny took pride in their accomplishments celebrating each one of them. Danny was preceded in death by his mother Alice Miles, Stepfather, Herman Wells and sister Gail Miles. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ida; siblings Alfred Miles (Felicia), Duane Miles, Cheryl Miles, Gary Miles (Anna), Christina Miles and Tyrone Miles; his loving Uncle Willie Bailey (Valery); and a multitude of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
