Obituary of Lisa M. Wood

Lisa Michele Wood was born on January 20, 1971 to Theresa Wood and the late Richard Gamble in Stratford, New Jersey. Lisa passed away peacefully on December 2, 2021 after battling with cancer at her sister’s home in Pottstown, Pa. Lisa was raised in Williamstown, NJ where she enjoyed going to church and was baptized at an early age at Community Baptist Church in Williamstown, NJ. Lisa began her school years in the Williamstown Public School district where she enjoyed playing sports and singing in the choir. In her later years Lisa moved to Philadelphia, PA where she made that her home and raised her children. Lisa was employed as a Tele-Marketing Operator and was also employed with the Marriott Hotel chain for several years. Lisa was blessed with three lovely children whom she loved and adored very much. She was a big fan of her son as she called him Reese with his gift of music. She admired her son Tyron’s determination and loved her daughter Latisha’s strong will. Lisa took pleasure in being her mother’s pet “LOL” and enjoyed the relationship. Lisa loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family and her extended family in Philadelphia and New Jersey. Lisa’s favorite past time was shopping just like her grandmother Henrietta Wood. Lisa was known for her love of clothes, her glamorous nails and her favorite drink Pepsi. Lisa had a determination to further pursue her academic education at Community College of Philadelphia where she received an Associate’s Degree in Social Behavior in 2021. Lisa was extremely proud of this accomplishment. Lisa was known to be funny, witty and loved to laugh. Lisa’s heart was kind, caring and selfless. Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents Henrietta and Joseph Wood, Della and Louis Gamble, Brother Juan El, and nephew Aaron Simpson. Lisa leaves to cherish her memory: Mother, Theresa Wood; son, Maurice McDaniel, daughter, Latisha Wood; son, Tyron Wood; loving sister, Yolanda Wood; sister, Osha Williams; special brother, Donte Wood; brother, Eric Lane; brother, Gamble Dickerson; twelve grandchildren, Aniya, Zahquan, Samiya, Yahsir, Halim, Ashya, Tyzir, Zamyrah, Londynn, Azurie, Rakeem & Eli; ten aunts, five uncles, five nephews, a dear friend Tasha Drummond and a host of cousins, nieces, family members and friends whom she all loved dearly.
