Obituary of Thomas Mozee III

Thomas Mozee III, a resident of Atco, New Jersey went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the age of 83. Thomas was born to the late Thomas Mozee II and Grace (Hendricks) Mozee on March 9, 1938 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Thomas attended Schenly school system in Pittsburgh, PA. He later attended and graduated from the University of The Arts in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor of Music. He continued his education and obtained a Masters of Music from Glassboro State College in Glassboro, New Jersey. Thomas moved to Philadelphia, PA where he met the love of his life, Evelyn Joan Wilson. Thomas and Evelyn married in 1960. From this union three beautiful children were born. They started their life together in Atco, New Jersey and settled in the wonderful community of Ivy Stone. Thomas and Evelyn formed many lifelong friendships in this community with individuals they came to know and love as family. Thomas’s wife, children and grandchildren were his greatest joy. He spent endless hours enjoying holidays, vacations and quality time and always looked forward to each opportunity to be together. He always remarked at how proud he was of his children and grandchildren especially their love of music and playing instruments. Thomas’s life with Evelyn was his lifeline. They were truly inseparable and rarely ever seen apart and everyone marveled at their 60 year union. Thomas was an accomplished musician who enjoyed a 37 year career as a music teacher in the Camden City School District. He loved teaching and looked forward to seeing his students graduate and accomplish great things. He always had a story about his days teaching or his many other adventures. He was always ready to lend a hand no matter the cause and dedicated many hours to his church and community. But most importantly was his bright smile and optimism. Thomas leaves to cherish his loving memory; Wife, Evelyn aka “Dutches”; Son, Anthony (Tara); Daughters, Dr. Lisa D. Mozee-Kinney (Charles Tyrone Kinney predeceased) and Cynthia (Fiance’ Phillip Lynch); 6 grandchildren, Taylor, Braedon, Mikayla, Gracie, Morgan, Taryn, and a multitude of special friends; Fred Anderson, Lee Alvarez, Tuckie Cyrus (predeceased), Sexton (predeceased), John Smith, and John and a host of family and friends.
