I was truly lucky and blessed to have grown up with Walt , saw him everyday from 1st grade to senior graduation. He was honestly
the nicest person I have ever met.
I had posted about his passing on Facebook and made a comment "That I doubted that anyone he had ever met wasnt
impressed by him"
Well the next text I got proved it, my brother-in-law texted me and stated Im so sorry Walt was a Great guy.
now I have another childhood friend also named Walt so I said thanks but its not the Walt we hang with , he then says
I know its Walt Fuller, I have coached his boys for swimming for years ( Coach Skinner) and I couldnt be more correct he
was a great person .I never knew we have lived 2 miles away from each other all these years
So from me, my wife, and Coach Skinner we want you to know you are all in our thoughts and prayers and were and always be his biggest fans .
Joe Holbrook.

Although it has been a few weeks since the Lord called you home, it still feels like yesterday! My heart is heavy and I am filled with sadness over this loss. I know it will take some time for this to settle in. No more calls to discuss games, players, or strategies. No more "check-in" calls! No more meeting for dinner when you were in the area. It seemed like we would connect just when it was needed most! I'm going to really miss those calls.
Walt was a teammate, friend and brother to me and my life was truly enriched because he was a part of it. We had so many conversation, laughs, and experiences that I will carry with me the rest of my days! We helped each other grow and become better men, but I have to admit, he had a much greater influence on me, than I on him. I am truly blessed to have been able to be apart of his life.
I pray for his wife, Martina, and 2 sons, BJ and Cameron (my guys) as they now have to adjust to a new normal. I hope they know how impactful his life was to sooo many. I thank them for sharing Walt with us! Know that I am here to help in any way I can. Luv u guys!
To the rest of the family, friends, teammates, players and colleagues, I pray for your comfort and peace as well. We were all blessed to have him for our season.
And to my man, Walter Joseph Fuller, know you are loved and will be missed! My next "John Daniels" will be in your honor! Take your rest brother! Luv u!

Summer 1990 two homies from Yeadon, both right around 26 years young, decided to take a short vacation in Negril, Jamaica. No sooner than the flight reached full altitude when plane was rocked by serious turbulence and homie #1 along with many others on the flight were in a panic. But not homie #2. You see Walter Joseph Fuller was as calm as one could be. I, homie #1, asked Walt how he could be so cool and without skipping a beat he stated "hey if it's our time it's our time and it ain't nothing we can do about it". Not too long thereafter things calmed and we landed safely. Yet in that moment I saw what faith looks like. One quality of faith is that it has no fear. And in my friend Walt I saw a rock of a man certain of faith and lacking in fear. That flight, the time we spent, but above all that moment has remained with me some 30 years later. And his words then and now have helped to steady me as I absorbed the heavy, "turbulent" blow that was dealt upon hearing that the Lord had given my friend his wings. My friend wasn't ready to leave of that I am sure but I also know he wasn't worried. The pain of his loss is going to last awhile but we serve a God who will one day restore our soul as we've been assured in Psalm 23. I loved Walt Fuller. He was my friend and my brother. Yet I know I will one day see him again. To his beloved wife, Martina, and his 2 princes disguised as sons know that earth knows no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. I pray for you each and every day and will continue to do so. In fact, I pray for all who knew this man and were touched by his quiet strength, dignity, humility, faith, and resolve. Walt, my beloved, may you rest in paradise. And may goodness and mercy follow the rest of us all the days of our lives. Forever.

A part of me was forever shattered when I got the tragic and devastating news of your sudden and untimely transitioning. It was an extremely bitter pill to swallow. But I know the Lord charts the course of our life journeys and He only calls Home the best amongst us when it is time and in you he has done just that. I will miss our friendship, your infectious smile, our countless sports chats and the grace, humility and respect you showed all you crossed paths with in your life journey no matter their walk of life. You fought the good fight and you finished the race. Now go and claim your rightful place in God’s Heavenly Kingdom. I take solace in the fact that you are now reunited with your mom, your dad, your sister Mary, your nephew Charles and all of your other departed loved ones. Lord knows you will be missed by me, your family and the countless others you have left behind. I know we will meet again in the afterlife. But until that day arrives, Rest In Peace my brother, Rest in Perfect and Everlasting Peace. I luv you.

Brother-in-law, words cannot express my pain in hearing you were gone, the suddenness of that moment still linger. The despair I felt when seeing Marty, and the Boy’s, was extremely overwhelming. I find it difficult to express my deepest sympathy for them as well as the Colbert/Ross, family. I am at a lost trying to understand Why, Why, Why, and still not understanding.
May peace be with you, eternally.
