Obituary of Cynthia Teresa Gray

We are here today to celebrate the life of Ms. Cynthia Gray who was 67 years old. She passed away on October 12, 2020, in Voorhees, New Jersey. Cynthia was born to Percival and Alice Gray on May 24, 1953, in Trinidad and Tobago. Cynthia was extremely funny and kind. As a young woman, she enjoyed playing women’s netball and was a formidable force of nature both on and off the courts. Cynthia became a mother in 1973 to her only child Sandy. She aspired to provide her best for Sandy as a working mother. She worked at a major department store in Trinidad and always had the managers and staff on their toes - with her, work was never just work. It was also a time to have fun! She carried this same attitude with her when she worked at the Marios’ pizza store where she met one of her best friends, Carol. In search of a better life for her and Sandy, she immigrated to the United States where she formed a passion for becoming a caregiver to those who needed help the most. She also enjoyed having fun at the Casino and spending time with her family and friends. She was a dedicated caregiver working up until the day she passed away at Jack Sun Manor. Cynthia was predeceased by her parents Percival and Alice Gray, her sister Barbara, and her brother Charlie. She is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Sandy and husband Dennis, her granddaughter Kisha and husband Cornell and great granddaughter Serenity Grace, her brothers Frederick, Randy, Dave and Roy, sister Patsy, niece Teniece, nephews Chris and Anthony and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
