went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2011. Frank was born on March 4, 1925 to the union of Frank Henry James and Mabel Morton James. He was welcomed into the family by older brother Eugebne Ulysses James and later joined the family in celebrating the birth of younger brother Horace Nathaniel James and sister, Virginia James.



Frank was born and raised in East Riverton (Cinnaminson), New Jersey. He accepted the Lord at an early age. He was educated at Cinnaminson Township Schools and Bordentown Boarding School. It was upon his graduation that he was drafted into service during World War II where he served as a winch operator. In honor of his service, he was awarded medals for Good Conduct, Asiatic Pacific Campaign, American Campaign and World War II Victory.



He was later united in Holy matrimony to Helen Jean James on October 16, 1948. This October, they would have celebrated 63 years of marriage. To this union, two children were born, Frank T. and Cheryl James.



Frank worked for Sears for 47 years where he was employed as a warehouse department manager. He became a faithful member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Riverton, New Jersey. There, he was an active member of the church choir, singing glory unto the Lord with his beautiful tenor voice. He also enjoyed cooking for the Men's Fellowship Breakfasts.



Also, Frank enjoyed fishing, grilling and hunting as well as building his family home with his own hands, located just across the street from the church. He also enjoyed watching football and war movies as well as spending time outdoors.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mabel James and his brother, Horace James.



Frank leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Helen Jean James; son, Frank T. (Joanne) James; daughter, Cheryl James Hill; brother, Eugene James; sister, Virginia James Carter; grandson, Carl J. Hill; granddaughter, Megan (Kwame) Foucher; stepgrandson, Lamont Howard; great granddaughters, Milan Hill and Soliel Foucher; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and very special friends.
