Through the grace of God a life is given, through the mercy of God a life passes on. Theresa Mae Clark Johnson was born on November 3, 1923 to Mr. Joseph Clark, Sr. and Mrs. Virginia Gadson Clark from Jacksonville, Florida. She was the last born of five children; Luscious, Geech, Joseph Jr. and Mary Clark have all preceded her in death along with both her parents. Theresa Mae, early Saturday morning at 3:15 am, July 2, 2011, was called to take her place to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She received her education from the Florida School system, and in later years, under the watchful eye of God, married at the age of 17 to Walter Johnson jr. (preceded in death), also from Jacksonville, Florida. From this blessed union there were eight children, Mrs. Juanita Commander (preceded in death), Walter Johnson III, Robert Johnson Sr., Ms. Doris Johnson, Mrs. Dorothy Rivera (preceded in death), all of whom were born in Jacksonville, Mrs. Christine Mayes, Ms. Theresa Garrett, and Nicholas Johnson, whom were born in Pennsylvania after moving the family to Philadelphia in 1953.

Theresa was baptized at Tenth Memorial Baptist Church, located at nineteenth and Jefferson Streets in Philadelphia where she accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in the year of 1966. Theresa was blessed to find a life companion inn Leroy J. Morris who was also preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories: six children, Walter, Robert, Doris, Christine, Theresa, and Nicholas; 2 daughters-in-law; 2 sons-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; 29 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

God has blessed Theresa with a life of eighty-seven (87) yearss, and multiplied her seed eighty-seven (87) times. How great is our God!!! To God is the glory.
