Obituary of Granville Russell Boyce

Please share a memory of Granville to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Thursday, May 14, 2015, God, in His merciful wisdom saw fit to call beloved Granville Russell Boyce peacefully home. “Russell” as everyone knew to call him was one of 13 children born to the late Olivia and Victor Boyce. Russell was the last of 5 brothers and 6 sisters that preceded him in death. He attended elementary school in Berlin and graduated from Lower Camden County Regional High School. Russell was a member of St. John United Methodist Church where he and his family were raised as children. He was a lifelong resident of Sicklerville New Jersey. He lovingly fathered one son Dwayne Lonnie Murray (Joyce), of Portland, OR, one daughter, Lisa McIntosh-Harris (James), of Pine Hill, NJ; 5 grand-children and 7 great grand-children. Russell also held a special place in his heart for Ermease Gibson and her family, of Lawnside, NJ. Russell loved driving trucks and started driving for Interstate Pallet Company when he was 18 years old. Russell was an entrepreneur and was a dedicated worker. He started Rose Pallet Company, Prime Pallet Company and later Russell Boyce Trucking. During the years of Russell Boyce trucking, he owned 8 trucks and would travel along the east coast, driving as far as New Hampshire to Florida and would often take people with him. Russell hauled for Frank Vessely Trucking (FVT), Progresso Soup Co., Campbell Soup Co. Carrier Haulers, Interstate Trucking and Pallets, Certainteed, Farm Fresh Cold Storage, Nanak Produce and many others. Russell liked cooking and bragged that his cooking was the best. He also liked to eat; especially Breyers ice cream. Russell was kind and generous with a ready smile. Russell will be missed by all that knew him. He leaves to mourn 2 sisters: Elizabeth Rowe of Sicklerville, and Rosetta McIntosh of Voorhees and one sister-in-law Henriette Boyce, one brother-in-law, Jerome McIntosh, God sons and daughters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
