Obituary of George H. Furlow

George Henry Furlow Jr. was born to the late George and Virginia Furlow on May 20, 1961. George grew up in East Berlin and attended the Berlin Township School System. George excelled in sports he was a great wrestler and he also played baseball. After George graduated from Edgewood High School, he enlisted into the United States Navy. George was the Third-Class Radioman. He also served in the Lebanon War from 1982-1984 and served on USS Fresno LST-1182. George was also stationed in San Diego, California. He completed two West Pacific deployment, before being honorably discharged. George was a hard worker he worked various jobs throughout Camden County, NJ. He really enjoyed working at the Printing Company in Berlin. At a young age George attended Green Grove Baptist Church. George leaves to mourn his passing: his daughter Rasheeda Padgett; three sisters: Alvina, Jocelyn (Avery), Angela, and his Sister-in-Law Valerie. Three siblings who preceded him in death two sisters; Wanda, Rhonda, and his brother Tyrone; he also leaves to cherish his memories his Aunts, Aunts Ida Mae Pointer (Gerald), Della Woods, Peachie Woods, Iraida Trinidad; two Uncles: Elisha and Curtis Woods; two granddaughters and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
