Born Louise Marie McNeal March 17, 1955. The daughter of the late rev. Alex and evangelist Annie Pearl McNeal of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. There she attended the Philadelphia public school system and graduated from west Philadelphia High School in June 1972. Her father often referred to as “rev Mack” affectionately nicknamed her “Beanus” as a child; this nickname would follow her for a lifetime. At an early age overseer Savage accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, she served in various roles of ministry under the leadership of her parents who were pastors of the Church of the Living Christ of Philadelphia PA. There she grew and learned the true meaning of “Godly service”. In early 1976 Louise met Carlton Savage, they fell in love and were married in December of 1977; to this union 3 children were born: Sheila Charnea, Carlton Dennis Jr., and Alicia Gabrielle. God called rev. Savage to spread His gospel message in 1980. She ministered the good news message to souls through the United States. Rev. Savage received her first ordination under Church of the Living Christ ministry in 1988. Her second ordination was under Church of God in 1998. In 2005 rev. Savage became one of the founding leaders to establish the Cornerstone Christian Assembly Church of Williamstown New Jersey. Rev. Savage was ordained under Rev. B. Chapman as assistant pastor in 2006, she served Gods people faithfully and became pastor in 2012. Pastor Savage was elevated to Overseer in 2018, she continued to fulfill her call to see souls set free. Professionally, overseer Savage was a registered nurse receiving her degree from Helene Fuld school of Nursing, Camden NJ. She worked as an oncology nurse before going into home health care where she worked as a nurse case manager at Atlantic Care Home care for 24 years. In later years, she continued working as a case manager at United Healthcare and most recently Anthem Blue cross Blue Shield. Overseer Savage was a people person and loved sharing information with anyone needing assistance. She was also a provider for the developmentally disabled of New Jersey for many years; working with the mentally challenged was also a part of her service to God. Overseer Savage loved a good flea market and would often frequent the Columbus Mart. She also enjoyed shopping at Ollies and Boscovs. She had a passion for cooking and loved to see people enjoying her food, especially her sweet potato pie. In her Homegoing she leaves to await the return of Jesus; her loving husband Carl Savage Sr. Her son Carl Savage Jr.; 2 daughters Sheila Savage King and Alicia Savage Sullivan. 2 sons in love Pastor Javen King; deacon Charles Sullivan, 1 daughter in love Regina Savage, 3 granddaughters Jayla King, Kayla King, Maya Savage. 1 grandson Troy Savage, 1 sister Bonnie Barnes, 1 sister in love Margaret Savage, 3 brothers Thomas McNeal, Ronnie Gregory and Vincent Lyons. She also leaves to mourn her passing the entire Cornerstone Christian Assembly Church family, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a host of other church family and friends. Overseer Savage will be missed by all especially for her dramatic mannerisms and preaching/teaching to us all. Sleep on overseer, pastor, wife, mom, grand-mom and friend, we will see you in glory!
