Catherine Marie Anderson, affectionately known as Cassie was born on June 29, 1947, in Chester, PA to the late Etta Collins and Jeff Davis.
At a very young age Cassie went to live with family in Glassboro NJ, being raised by a remarkable woman, Elizabeth "Big Mom" Buckner.
Growing up in a close tight knit family and community, Cassie cherished the connections and friendships she made, many of which lasted a lifetime. Including meeting and marrying her love, Carlton Anderson.
Cassie was educated in the Glassboro school system, graduating from Glassboro High School in 1966. After graduation, Cassie worked hard through the years. Her dedication and work ethic were evident throughout her life, as she was recognized as employee of the quarter and featured in the county newspaper for her achievements.
When she wasn't working she enjoyed listening to music, watching soap operas, especially "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful" as well as lifetime movies. But what she loved most was spending time with her family, especially her loving grandson. Known for her independence, Cassie often rode her bike around town, whether it was to run errands, visit friends or simply enjoy the fresh air.
Those who knew Cassie recognized her as a dependable and strong-willed woman and while she could have a temper, it was always matched by a heart full of love and compassion for those she held dear.
Cassie was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Anderson, parents, Etta Collins and Jeff Davis, brothers Joseph, Alan, Elvin, James , Robert, Richard, and Anthony; sisters, Wanda, Barbara, and Carolyn. As well as Elizabeth Buckner.
Cassie leaves to cherish her loving memory, her three children; Carlton, Qiana, and Allan. One grandson, Asa. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
