Nicole Alexandria Nichols was born July 29, 1986 to Leslie Nichols and the late Ronald Nichols and left this world unexpectedly on September 5, 2025.
Nicole leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved family; her mother, Leslie, sister, ShaR'on, and goddaughter Kristiene. Nicole was also an amazing "dog mom" to her baby, Teddy Riley. Nicole also leaves behind a host of family, friends, and students to cherish her memory.
Nicole was a proud graduate of the Winslow Township School District, where she would later return to launch her teaching career. During her high school career, Nicole had an interest in sports and played Tennis and recreational basketball. She began to pursue her passion for education while working as a lead day care
teacher while still in high school. Nicole was brilliant and beautiful. She truly could have chosen any profession and excelled. She continued to explore her love of teaching while continuing her education.
Nicole graduated with a double major in Elementary Education and English from Rowan University in 2013. She went on to advance her education and obtain a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University in 2023.
Nicole was an extraordinary leader and educator who truly embodied what it meant to be a teacher. Nicole began her career as a teacher in the Winslow Township School District in 2013. In addition to being an amazing teacher, she took on many leadership roles including acting as Mentor Cooperating teacher for student teachers from Rowan University. Nicole truly honed her craft as an educator; and touched the lives of many students throughout her tenure.
Nicole was smart, beautiful, radiant, and fearless. Most importantly, Nicole was a God- loving young woman. So much so, that she trained her dog, Teddy, to wait until they said grace before he could eat his meals; as well as incorporating nighttime prayers in his bedtime routine. She loved her family ferociously and would go to the ends of the earth to protect them. She loved her family, her dog, horror movies, home décor, and all things pumpkin spice.
Nicole's life cannot be summarized in words, as to know her was to love her. She was beautiful inside and out; and if she loved you; you knew you'd always be cared for and protected.
Nicole's earthly absence will have ripple effects for generations to come, as the world has truly been robbed of the goodness and light that was Nicole. Those who loved her will never forget her; and will we make sure that her memory lives on.
