Frank J. Palermo, of Atco, NJ formerly of Camden and Haddon Township, NJ, passed away on April 24, 2020 at the age of 90 years old. Devoted husband of Maria (nee Spatola). Beloved father of Josephine Palermo (Dave) and Mary Jane Bonfiglio (Larry). Proud grandfather of Nick, Rosa and Bella. Dear brother of the late Jennie Palermo and the late Joseph Palermo (Christina) and uncle to Janie, Joseph and Josephine. He is also survived by his extended family in Italy. Frank was born in Burlington, VT and grew up in Pozzallo, Sicily. He moved to Camden, NJ when he was sixteen and worked for the City of Camden Division of Urban Renewal. He also tended bar and was known for his beautiful tenor voice. He was a well-respected family man. Before starting his own he was known for spoiling his nieces and nephew. In 1969 he started his own family and this past September, Frank and Maria celebrated 50 wonderful years together. In 1972 he moved and settled into Haddon Township to raise his family. He was always proud of his 2 daughters and 3 beautiful grandchildren. In 2004 he moved to Atco, NJ to be close to his grandchildren. He loved to sing especially around his family and friends. Italy was always his home. He enjoyed being able to travel with the kids every few years to his hometown of Pozzallo and to visit with family and old friends. Upon retirement he would travel there every year.  Frank’s services and burial will be held privately by his family due to the health care crisis of COVID-19. His life will be celebrated with a visitation and mass at a later date with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, 375 Kings Highway N., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
