Willie Eva Moore, "WillEva", 85, of Pleasantville, was born January 25, 1935 in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Will Melton and Eva Jones Melton. Willie gained her wings on Monday, February 10, 2020, in the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, where she fought a long going battle. She relocated to Atlantic City, New Jersey in the 1950s and became employed by the City of Atlantic City as a public restroom attendant. Willie later met and married Kennard C. Moore in the late 1970s. In 1980, Willie became a pantry person for the Sands Hotel and Casino as a pantry worker, where as she worked for 20 years and then retired. Willie was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church in Atlantic City, where she was a faithful member of the Senior Choir and served with several other ministries. She later departed and became a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Traditional Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers; four daughters, Janice Burgess, Evelyn Jones, Michele Melton and Cynthia Austin; two grandchildren, Tondalyia Melton and Sharin Austin; and four great grandchildren. She leaves to cherish fond memories her loving husband, Kennard C. Moore; three children, Alvin O. Melton (Sharon), Juna E. Melton and Kim D. Melton; brother, Earl Smith (Vivian); 18 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren; her dearest friend, Theresa Porter Walker, and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
