Esther Clayton Burr was born on April 5, 1922 to Sal and Amanda Chisholm in Pomona Park , FL. Eshter received her formal education through the Florida Pulblic School System, where she excelled in her studies and she studied for two years in college.
Esther was a subsitute teacher in Flordia until she moved to Philadelphia, Pa. where she was a skilled Seamstress who made men's suites and leather coats. As well as luxury drapes and linen for the Holiday Inn and Sheraton Hotel in Philadelphia until she retired. In her leisure she enjoyed hosting gatherings for her family, friends. She loved helping others and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Esther departed her life at the age of 96 on May 10, 2018 in Sewell NJ. She is survived by her beloved sister Ruth Townsend, her daughters Elaine Burr Hubbard, Brenda Burr, Deborah Park, Sheila Ward, Patricia "Penny" Clayton, Pamela "DEDE" Jackson. Her sons Timothy Burr, Stanley Clayton and a Host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends.
