Please share a memory of Lonnie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Sunday, May 15, 2016, beloved father, brother, grandfather and uncle, departed this earthly life unexpectedly. Born on January 1, 1946 in South Carolina to Charles "Buck" and Sue Thompson. In the 1960's, his parents, Lonnie and Donnie, Fraternal twins and himself moved to the Philadelphia, PA. Later in life, Lonnie married Kizer Thompson and from this union, two children were born, Lonnie Thompson Jr. and Jacquelyn Thompson. Lonnie was well throughout the North Philadelphia area as the taxi man. He started working for Philadelphia Yellow Cab Co. in the late 1960's. You could always depend on him if you needed a ride. Lonnie was truly a man that spoke his mind and he lived his life by his own set of rules. He will sorely be missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind his wife and children; three brothers, Donnie, Tommy and Louie; three sisters, Gen, Mary and Alice Thompson and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
