Obituary of Weldon Jerry Battle

Weldon Jerry Battle, affectionately called Pooh Bear by his loving wife, was called home to Glory on Sunday, September 6, 2015. Jerry was born on September 20, 1959 to the late Queenie E. Battle Jackson and Weldon Murphy. He received his formal education in the Philadelphia school system. After graduating high school he entered into the work force. He was employed for over thirty years by Hydro Mechanical Systems, Inc. Jerry loved life and was most dedicated to his wife and son. This was a marriage of over thirty years. Jerry also had a passion for drums and enjoyed playing his drums. In addition, Saturdays and Sundays were his weekly trips to the Berlin Auction. Jerry touched many lives during his brief stay on earth. His friendship and kindness to so many people will always be remembered. Jerry leaves to mourn wife Helena Battle and son Andre Battle. In addition to cherish his memory are two brothers Michael Battle and Art Jerome; one sister Arlena Jackson; three uncles Tommy, Benjamin and William, one aunt Effie May, his father -n -law Norris Whittaker, mother-in law Helena Whittaker and brother-law Willie Brown.
