Robert "Bobby" Lee Stephens, Sr., 72, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, departed this life on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, in the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus.
Robert was born June 28, 1943, in Rome, Georgia, to the late Harold and Jessie Stephens, where he was raised and attended school.
After coming to this area, he was employed at DelMonte's Packing Factory in Salem, New Jersey. He was a part-time carpenter, and loved to sing old songs. He will always be remembered "Doo-wopping" on the corner.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Harold, Jr., and two sisters, Glenda and Mary.
Robert leaves to mourn his passing four children, Robert Stephens, Jr., of Oklahoma, Danette Stephens of Egg Harbor Township, Nicole Hamilton of Smyrna, Georgia, and Shonda Stephens of Egg Harbor Township; two sisters, Brenda Stephens of Penns Grove, New Jersey, and Jeanette Stephens of Kansas City, Kansas; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
