Obituary of Derrick Hemphill

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born and a time to die. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 Derrick Hemphill was born to the late Charles Hemphill, Jr. and Dorothy Hemphill on February 17, 1973, in Brooklyn, New York and furthered his education in Winslow, New Jersey, where his concentration was in Business Administration. He held various positions throughout his life at multiple fortune 500 companies. He also had a passion for detailing cars. Derrick was not much of a talker in or around crowds due to his shyness. However, you would always see that beautiful smile, affection and love on display when he spoke about or cared for his dogs, Butch, Jada, Bear and Max. In 2015, as the family came to terms with the devastating news, everyone rallied behind Derrick and provided him with all the courage, strength and love that a family could. Everyone endured, triumphed and subsequently lost the battle on July 14, 2015. I will be remised if I didn't state that Derrick gave it his all and fought to the bitter end. We are confident in knowing he is rejoicing with his Father and other relatives in Heaven. Derrick leaves to mourn: HIs Mother Dorothy Hemphill, Father Charles Hemphill, Jr. (Deceased), 4 Brothers: James, Charles, III, Dwayne M. (Kim) Hemphill and Sean. 1 Sister; Monique 3 Nieces: Laura, Jazzman, Nidarah. 4 Nephes: Charles, IV, Dwayne, Jr. Kyle and Dahmyynte. Aunts: Susan Jacobs and Linda Thomas. Uncles: James A. (Deborah) Hemphill, John (Donna) Hemphhill and Ronald (Dora) Foster. A Great Aunt: Zanbia Dixon. A host of Cousins and Friend.
