Obituary of Costance Butts

Constance Butts, of Atlantic City, departed this life Saturday, March 7, 2015. Born in Jacksonville, FL, on August 9, 1937, to the late Henry and Nancy McBride, Connie was the fifth of ten children. Connie was employed by the City of Atlantic City prior to her retirement. She was a member of Second Baptist in AC, where she had sang with the Inspirational Choral Ensemble. She had also been a member of the John Howard Gospel Caravan. In addition to her husband, Rodney, she was predeceased by her sons, Frankie and Willie; and her grandson, Abdal-Razzaq McBride. Surviving are her children, James, Vincent, Todd (Cheryl), Eric (Terri), and Eugene, all of Atlantic City; her sisters, Arlene Smith of Stoughton, MA, Rosalind Charles of Southfield, MI, Rachel Crawford of Mays Landing, and Ruth Wilson of Westbridge Port, MA; a special friend and sister, Rachel Dean of Atlantic City; and a host of grands, great grands, nieces and nephews.
