Charlie Harrell was born on December 14, 1937 to the late James Harrell, Sr. and Lillian May Harrell (Davis). He departed this life on Friday, February 27, 2015 in Lenoir, North Carolina. A native of Florence, South Carolina, he attended Gibbs High School in Florence County. He later met his wife Maxine Harrell. They were united in Holy Matrimony and from this union, four children were born, Charles, Sandra, Angela and Darsean. Charlie was a devoted husband and father and a caring person to all. He was a devoted worker of Philadelphia Gas Works where he later retired. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Harrell and daughter, Sandra Genwright. Charlie leaves to mourn, one son, Charles Harrell (Eugenia) of Lenoir, North Carolina; two daughters, Angela Harrell of Chesilhurst and Darsean Harrell of Williamstown; one brother, Monroe Harrell (Octavia) of Williamstown; nine grandchildren, Toniesh Gilmer, Lionel Corpening, Dominick Hawins, Jr., Nafis Abdullah, Gabrielle Worthington, Ciarra Johnson, Camille Johnson, Samone Johnson and Chase Brittingham; eleven great grandchildren; a special son-in-law, Walter Johnson IV and a host of family and friends.
