Kiyanna Eff' Waite, 37 of Sicklerville, New Jersey departed this life on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Temple University Hospital after a courageous battle with a brief illness. She was the beloved mother of Zahir and Keon Damon. Kiyanna was born on July 9, 1977 at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Ethel Waite-Bey and Dennis Johnson. Kiyanna grew up in West Atco, New Jersey where she was educated in the Winslow Township school system. Kiyanna graduated from Edgewood Senior High School in 1995. She attended William Patterson University for a brief period, before continuing her education at Camden County Community College. After earning an A.S. in Human Services, she attended Stockton State College. In 2007, Kiyanna graduated from Stockton with a B.S. in Socail Work. She later earned her M.S. in Social Work from Stockton in 2012. For Seven years, Kiyanna worked at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital. She was employed by Avenues to Independent Living in Woodbury as a residential aide, as well as the P.I.L.O.T. Program, in Atco, as a Direct Support Professional at the time of her passing. Kiyanna leaves to cherish her memory, her two children, Zahir and Keon Damon; her parents, Ethel Waite-Bey and Dennis Johnson; her sisters, Inasha (Ricardo) Birch and Anetra Bey; her brother , Gary Bey, Jr.; her God Brother, James Berry, her nephews and nieces, Tariq Birch, Najee Bey, J-Ajanae' Bey, Dashan Birch, Jaleia Perry, Rosalee Bey and Gary Bey III; uncles and aunts, Freeman (Stella) Johnson, Dorothy Waite, Joseph (Theresa) Waite, Earl (Reverend Denice) Waite, Edith Epps, Robert Waite, Victoria (Mitchell) Dickens, Jamnes Wite, David Johnson, Linda Johnson-McMillan, Cheryl Johnson, Cythia Ebo. She also leaves a host of cousins and extended family members. Special friends of note in Kiyanna's life include Edward damon, Zahir and Keon's father, Mrs. Donna Waite, Mary Beth Cuffari and Yolanda Watts. Kiyanna was an incredible and strong person , who loved simply spending time with her children. She was a quiet spirit, who was willing to help anyone. She knew Christ all of her life and accepted the Lord as her personal Savior. During her lifetime, she attended Greater Calvary Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Chesilhurst and Green Grove Baptist Church. In December 2014, Kitanna said " I can't wait to get out of this hospital. I've got to get back to Green Grove. I need to tell them what God has done for me." Towards the end of her life, Kiyanna remarked, "Thus far my life has been orchestrated by God." She was loved and will truly be missed.
