Psalm 103 “Bless the Lord, Oh my soul and all that is within me. Bless His holy Name” Geraldine “Geri McFadden” was the loving daughter of the late Geraldine Hood. She was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Camden, NJ. The Lord called her HOME, on February 9, 2015. Geri was saved at an early age and was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church in Camden, NJ. She later joined Mt. Carmel Holy Church in Camden, NJ where she faithfully continued serving the Lord in many different ministries with great joy! Geri was educated in the Camden School System and graduated from Steelmans Business School. She worked in administration in the business industry and in the church. On June 10, 1967 Geri was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Herman McFadden. Out of this wonderful union there were three children; Pamela, Erek and Kenya. She was a loving wife and mother who demonstrated Christianity in exampleship. When the family moved to Sicklerville, NJ, Geri later joined Christ Care Unit Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her mother became ill. Sis. Geri also known as “Mom McFadden” was a PRAYER WARRIOR! She prayed many people through and had an outreach ministry where she would minister to people of all ages. Geri loved the Word of God! She loved to evangelize and was certified in Advanced Theology. As led, Sister McFadden enjoyed fellowship in Christ as the Lord directed and remained serious about her Christian walk. She later joined Mt. Zion UMC in Lawnside, NJ and continued worshipping the Lord until HIS ANGELS escorted her from earth the GLORY!! Sis. McFadden LOVED music and singing! She sang in various community choirs and traveled throughout the Tri-State area singing. She played the piano and was fondly known as “the tambourine lady” She loved to play the tambourine in service and teach others how to play! There was nobody that could play a tambourine like her! Geri leaves to cherish her memory; her loving and devoted husband, Herman, three children; Pamela, Erek and Kenya, Grandchildren; Jasmine, Erek Tyler, D’Ante’ and Jayden, (one Pre-deceased Grandson-Shawn, who was never forgotten), three great-grandchildren; Xavier, Timere and Erica, extended family…Dr. and Mrs. Cornell Pearcy, Godchildren..Jasmine and Joshua Pearcy and two special sisters in Christ, Arlene West and Sarah Jones.
