Obituary of Esther Lena Polk Harmon

Esther Lena Polk was born to William Cyrus and Ruby Dumas Polk on April 4, 1934, their second of an eventual seven children, in Philadelphia, PA. She was educated in Philadelphia school system through 8th grade.
She married William McKinley Harmon in June, 1949 at the age of 15, the union produced five children. In September 1961 she completed her training and earned a diploma at Adelphia School of Business. Esther was employed by Linton’s Restaurant, Food Fair/ Pantry Pride, and retired from Caesar’s Casino in 1999.
Her passing leaves a great void, but she left us so much love and warm memories that she will live on in each and every one of our hearts forever.
Esther is survived by her five children; Linda Morris, William Harmon Jr., Kirk Harmon, Michael Harmon, and Mark Harmon. Four siblings; William Polk Jr., Dorothy Ross, Ethel Blackwell, and James Polk, fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
